Why I Stopped Sending E-Cards for Christmas.

Why I Stopped Sending E-Cards for Christmas.
There was time that I used to send Christmas cards to people, sometime fifty at a time. Sometimes I handed them out personally and sometimes I would send them in the mail.
When technology improved, I stop sending cards through the mail and I started to send e-cards. Now I’ve stop sending E-cards or animated cards too. There are many reasons.
1.      No one reads them anymore. We all know that there is no cost involved in writing those cards.
2.      People who know the technology know that there are no emotions, feelings or even a personal touch involved in those cards.
3.      There is no time involved in creating an E-card. One E-card is enough to send to millions of people. Just change the name on the card, or the computer will change it for you.
4.      There is no reason to keep those cards because there is no personal touch or feeling contained in it. I have some cards that I have kept for a long time that were sent to me in the past.  These were real cards that came in the mail.
5.      If you want to wish someone a Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy Hanukah, or Happy New Year, please pick up that phone and make a call, or get a card from the store.  Send them to people with a signature and put a “forever” stamp. Then people will know that it cost you time, energy and effort to send those cards.
6.      Studies clearly show that this generation lacks personal contact and the ability to engage in personal communication; let’s pick up that phone and wish people a Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy Hanukah, or Happy New Year.  At the very least, send them a personal text rather than a group message.

PS. Wishing You all a Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy Hanukah, or Happy New Year!!!! (I know this is a group wish)

I agree with your post. I also stop sending those cards through email and other social media. I am going back to the store to get some Cards. I believe people will see how much we missed in life by going with the social media influence in our daily life.
